Content is 55 Bura folk tales. Two of the spine strip's corners are a little frayed. The pages are tanned. The back pastedown has some spots that are a little roughened. The top corner of the front FEP has a 1 1/2 in. line that is a little roughened and has a row of dented lines made by a pencil. Scans e-mailed upon request.

Book Condition: Very Good; tip bumping; light head, tail, and tip wear; light soiling to boards. No DJ. Green cloth boards and spine with black lettering on the spine and black lettering an African picture in black border on the front board. 188 pp 12mo. The author was one of the first missionaries to come to Bura in North East Nigeria to spread the religion of the Church of the Brethren and to bring civilization to these primitive people. His book is basically cultural anthropology as he gives his first-hand ideas, thoughts, and feelings about the customs and traditions of a people never seen by a white population before. A clean very presentable copy.
