What to do as a mediator when conflicts between groups or states escalated to become a tangible conflict of collective identities? This question was the focus of the workshop conference «Building Cultures of Peace» 2009 at the University of Hamburg. Three well-known experts on peace and conflict work Jay Rothman and Vamik Volkan from the U.S. and Sami Adwan of Palestine gave a look into the theory and practice of their work in intensive workshops. 100 participants used the event to expand their knowledge and understanding of the development and management of ethno-political conflicts. This two-part book documents the gains of the event: the lectures of the experts as well as numerous essays by the participants in English and German. The two parts contain different topics. It is therefore worthwhile to browse through both of them. ISBN 9783631605813 Sprache: Englisch Gewicht in Gramm: 295.…
