Jahrhunderts einen Großteil Asiens eroberten, fielen sie 1241 in Europa ein. Sie schlugen ein polnisches und ein ungarisches Aufgebot und besetzen einen Großteil Ungarns. Doch obwohl die Zeitgenossen davon ausgingen, dass ganz Europa erobert werden würde, zogen sich die Mongolen im Frühjahr 1242 plötzlich zurück. Dieser überraschende Rückzug stellt bis heute die Historiker vor eine Herausforderung.Gängige Erklärungsansätze vermuten politische, logistische oder militärische Erwägungen hinter der Entscheidung, sich aus Europa zurückzuziehen. Neue Erkenntnisse der historischen Umweltforschung hingegen erlauben einen Erklärungsansatz, der Umwelteinflüsse miteinbezieht. Der Ansatz basiert auf der Rekonstruktion von Wetterdaten aus den 1240er Jahren. Diese erlauben die Hypothese, dass ungünstige Witterungsverhältnisse für den Abzug der Mongolen verantwortlich gewesen sein könnten.Die Auswertung der Klimadaten muss jedoch von einer Analyse der verfügbaren historischen Quellen begleitet werden, um die Ereignisse zu rekonstruieren können. Diesem Ziel widmet sich diese Arbeit. Die Suche nach Hinweisen auf besagte Wetterphänomene sowie nach Belegen für den Abbruch des Feldzuges aufgrund der Witterungsverhältnisse bildet den Kern der Arbeit.

Während die Gewerkschaften sich auf Branchenzuschläge geeinigt haben, um die Löhne der Zeitarbeitnehmer anzuheben, wird in der Politik über weitere Maßnahmen diskutiert.Für sinnvolle politische Maßnahmen ist es jedoch wichtig, möglichst genau festzustellen, inwieweit Verdienstunterschiede zwischen Zeitarbeitnehmern und Arbeitnehmern im regulären Beschäftigungsverhältnis existieren und wie hoch die Unterschiede tatsächlich ausfallen.Diese Projektarbeit hat daher zum Ziel, die verfügbaren empirischen Erhebungen zum Verdienst der Zeitarbeitnehmer in Deutschland aufzuarbeiten und auszuwerten, um die Verdienstunterschiede beziffern zu können. Insbesondere soll dabei geprüft werden, wie sich die 2012 bis 2013 tariflich eingeführten Branchenzuschläge auf die Gehälter der Zeitarbeitnehmer auswirken.
