Inside front cover contains a personal library plate belonging to Sir Charles Henry Stuart Rich, 4th Baronet (1859-1913) with motto, "Garde Ta Foy" (Keep your faith). Volume number has been scratched off the title page. Interior pages have minimal light pencil marks and underlining scattered throughout. Otherwise the pages are clean and in excellent condition. Morden inserted opposite page 209. Double-column text. Boards have slight rubbing to top/bottom of spine. Spine and hinges tight. Interior pages clean, save occasional light foxing. Map clean and intact. Former library copy with embossment to title page and map that reads: "Library of the Peabody Institute" (Johns Hopkins University). Front pastedown has red-framed 1.5" x 0.75" sticker in upper left corner that reads: "Withdrawn Jan 14 1953." Dewey decimal number "942.57 C878" is written on bottom of spine in rubbed white marker, and is written again in pencil on the title page. Owners' names in pencil on p. 508 and on following blank flyleaf. Volume 2 (of 6) of the "Magna Britannia" by Reverend Thomas Cox, 1655?-1734. The full six-volume work on the topography of England was published in monthly numbers as a supplement to the 'Atlas Geographus' (1711-1717).

This work was quite popular, being pirated twice and reprinted three times. Henderson had been an eyewitness to the events of the rebellion, and in 1746 produced his first publication, Expeditio militaris, sive Britannia liberata, an ode in praise of the duke of Cumberland.
