An early work documenting the first wave of UK and US punk bands through interviews, show reviews, photographs, etc. With over a dozen contributors, most of whom were authors of seminal early punk fanzines. Profiled bands include The Damned, The Slits, Television, The Buzzcocks, The Adverts, The Vibrators, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Alternative TV, The Lurkers, Generation X, The Sex Pistols, X Ray Spex, The Ramones, The Clash, et al. Heavily illustrated throughout with black-and-white photographs. A particularly sharp copy of a book often found the worse for wear.

Written by Alan Thunder or Anger, the vocalist for the band the Rowdies, Live Wire ran for 19 issues and offered interviews and commentary on the punk scene. As Thunder states "oh no, not another bloody fanzine. Well this is another fanzine-only it's gonna be different. I mean it." News on the Sex Pistols and Slits show, The Clash, Chelsea, Generation X, the Jam and others. VERY GOOD condition. Light curling at the corners. Staple slightly rusted, with minor staining around it. Minor toning. A few small spots of rust stains to the covers.
