Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st ed. 134pp. Illus throughout. Usual format with a brief history followed by fleet lists of the various companies under Frank Strick ownership. The best known was Strick Line with its vessels' names ending in "stan" and its distinctive funnels. Nice copy apart from a previous owner's name & address inside the front cover. 0 905617 81 9.

Fund raising facsimile edition. *Information sheet and bookplate loosely inserted. This facsimile of the original 1946 first edition, authored by Geoffrey's father, was published as a fund raiser to support the restoration of a graveyard plot that is Geoffrey Appleyard's memorial and his mother's grave. The edition is limited to 700 copies (this one numbered 670 as noted on the bookplate).
