Condition: Very Good. Quarto-sized manuscript minute book of the Trustees of Archibald Inglis, of Elgin, Scotland, who was an Indigo Planter at Tirhoot (Bihar, India). Very good in half Morocco over textured boards, leather worn to lower corners; with marbled end papers and edges; internally very fresh. The minutes are written i…n various easily legible hands. One of the beneficiaries of the estate was Inglis' daughter Annie Rose, wife of Baron Carlo Acton of Naples. With letter laid from the civic officers of Elgin council thanking L Mackintosh of Old Lodge for his help in registering the City's coat of arms.
