Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book provides a detailed analysis of an encyclical letter issued by Pope Pius IX in 1873. The encyclical, "Quod Nunquam," condemned the actions of several Swiss cantons that had passed laws regulating the Catholic Church within their jurisdictions. The author delves into the historical and theological context of the encyclical, examining the tensions between the Catholic Church and the Swiss government at the time. The book delves into the broader themes of religious freedom, state authority, and the role of the Catholic Church in society, offering a nuanced and thought-provoking exploration of the complex relationship between religion and politics. 8°. 49 SS. Portr.-Tf. in Holzstich (stockfleckig). OBrosch. (wenig lädiert und lichtrandig). Seiten durchgehend (unterschiedlich) stockfleckig. Gesamthaft recht ordentliches Exemplar. Barth 9242. (F. Kurmann, in: HLS). Sprache: de.…

66 S. Original-Broschur. Seiten leicht fleckig.
