Add to basketFirst edition of this very well designed, large-format, publication which provides a detailed insight into the inner workings of a 1930s De Havilland biplane aircraft. With a very stylish art deco cover design, the book is well illustrated with a series of colour plates with hinged flaps that fold back to reveal cut-away views of the fuselage, engine, and other structures. The Shell Corporation produced a number of similar publications during the 1930s, showing the interior details of light aircraft and motor cars. Folio, original wrappers with photographic images by Maurice Beck.
