Preliminary leaves and final leaves of the index are a bit edgeworn and toned else generally clean throughout. This is the first of a three-volume history by the Danish physician comprising case studies of anatomical anomalies with descriptions and illustrations. This Copenhagen edition is thought to precede another 1654 edition issued in Amsterdam. Both are uncommon. The subsequent volumes of Bartholin's work were issued in 1657 and 1661. Text in Latin.
