A collection of ephemera related to Bauer Type Foundry, in Frankfurt, including: a stapled booklet of Venus Typefaces; a similar booklet for Folio typefaces; a small booklet of Bauer Types and a perfect bound booklet entitled 'For your Guidance: Bauer Type Foundry, Frankfurt am Main' , also listing available types (4 items in total). The latter 2 items refer to the Soldans Company in Theobalds Road, London but appear to be published in Germany. All items are clearly aimed at the English market and are largely in English. All items are undated but the Folio booklet has a very neat signature form the original owner, dated 1965, to the front cover . All are in very good condition, for their age. Ideally suited to anyone interested in the history of printing or in the Bauer company.

The Trafton Script typeface was designed by the New York artist and designer Howard Allen Trafton, and was released by Bauer in 1933.
