Volume I includes list of subscribers with a printed note tipped in concerning additional subscribers not included on the list. Attractively bound in three quarter greenish black leather over marbled boards, spines lettered and decorated in gilt, all edges marbled, marbled endpapers, frontis portrait in each volume, each book about 8.5 inches tall. Very good condition with some shelf rubbing, front joint of the first volume partially cracked but secure, all text blocks sound and firm, frontis portraits lightly foxed with offsetting to the title page, pages otherwise very clean, engraved bookplate of Henry B. H. Beaufoy, F.R.S. inside each front cover, no other names or markings.
