Juli 1764 in Bayreuth; 1. März 1839 in Berlin) war als Oberstleutnant ein Platzmajor von Berlin. Er diente insgesamt 59 Jahre lang unter drei Königen in der preußischen Armee, Ehrenbürger von Berlin) Berlin, 28.III.1836 - als Stadtkommandant an die Garnision-Kirchen und Schul-Commission betr. Personal- und Gehaltsfragen. BEILAGE : Brief (Copia 1,5 S. gr. folio, teils etwas Rotverfärbung, 3 kl. Randeinrisse) m.U. an dieselben, Berlin 25.III.1836.

Condition: guter Zustand. Radierung, 1755, auf Bütten. 17:21,7 cm. Literatur: Nagler aus 11-14, ohne Adresse von V. Chereau. - Schöner, gleichmäßiger Abdruck, vollrandig. Papier etwas vergilbt, besonders zum Rand hin. Friedrich Reclam, Sohn von J.F. Reclam d.Ä. (gest. 1754), des Hofjuweliers von Friedrich d. Gr. und Stammvater der Leipziger Buchhändlerfamilie. 1755-1762 weilte er in Rom, wo er vermutlich nähere Beziehungen zu H. Robert (1733-1808) unterhielt, der mit H. Fragonard (1732-1806) in Rom ein neues idyllisch-dekoratives Genre italienischer Landschafts- und Ruinendarstellungen schuf, an das sich Reclam sehr eng in seinen Landschaftsradierungen mit Motiven aus Tivoli usw. anschloß.
