Al frontespizio, stemma xilografico di Carlo Emanuele di Savoia, cui l'opera è dedicata. Testatine, finalini e capilettera ornati e arabescati in xilografia. Alle cc. nn. iniziali si trovano un testo del cavaliere mauriziano Filippo Bucci rivolto all'autore, vari regesti, componimenti dedicatori in versi volgari di Federico Della Valle, del Conte Lodovico San Martino di Aglié, ecc. Lievissima ombra al frontespizio e lievvismi piccoli aloni a poche pagine. Manca l'ultima carta bianca. Ottimo esemplare Importante legatura coeva muta in piena pelle marrone interamente lavorata a secco con ai piatti filetti, piccoli fleuron perimetrali e grande fleuron al centro entro cornice filettatura dorata, decori e filetti dorati su dorso a tre nervi, tagli dorati e incisi con anelli intersecantesi. Tagli cesellati in oro. Seconda edizione, in tutto simile alla prima del 1589 (cfr. Bersano Begey, Cinquecentine piemontesi, I, n. 73), di questa rara opera costituente insieme un' agiografia di San Maurizio (martirizzato nel 287) ed una storia dell'Ordine istituito nel 1572 da Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, con l'unione dei due precedenti ordini di S. Maurizio e di S. Lazzaro, allo scopo di combattere per la fede cattolica contro gli infedeli, esercitare l'ospitalità, liberare i mari dai pirati.
