Binding remains firm. Previous owner's name to front pastedown. Boards have light shelf wear with minor corner bumping and crushing to spine ends. All surfaces heavily tanned and sunned.

Fuller terms him a deep and profound scholar; and Sir John Harrington observes that his rising was merely by his learning, as true prelates should rise. This book was allegedly written at the command of Queen Elizabeth to justify her support of the Netherland's Revolt. Loosely inserted is a leaf carrying biographical information in a contemporary hand.
