The poet's first commercially published volume, issued in the Little Book of Georgian Verse, Second Series, published when the poet was 20 and right at the time he joined the 11th Royal Sussex Regiment and saw active service in World War I. The same year Blunden would win the Military Cross for his "conspicuous gallantry in action." He was the longest serving war poet having spent two years in the trenches. Slight darkening along spine. Near Fine and largely unopened.
