Reprint, stapled. Condition: Gut. pp. 210-215, 13 fig. From the library of Prof. Wolfgang Haase, long-time editor of the ANRW and the International Journal of the Classical Tradition (IJCT). - Author's name handwritten on cover, back somewhat stained, otherwise clean. - From the text: On April 2, 1445, Cyriacus of Ancona sailed from the Greek island of Chios and on the next day arrived at Mykonos, the starting point of a journey through the Cyclades. We know this from a letter he wrote on April 4th. The following reconstruction of his visit to Delos is based on two fifteenth-century manuscripts which contain extracts from his illustrated record of this journey (Vaticanus latinus 5252, ff. 17v-21v and Munich, Staatsbibliothek, Latin ms. 517, ff. 31-38). I must emphasize that the drawings shown here are not the originals by Cyriacus, but copies. - Wikidata: American Jesuit and classicist (1920-2011). Sprache: Englisch Gewicht in Gramm: 550.

Reprint, stapled. Condition: Gut. pp. 270-277, 12 fig. From the library of Prof. Wolfgang Haase, long-time editor of the ANRW and the International Journal of the Classical Tradition (IJCT). - Slightly bumped, author's name handwritten on cover, otherwise clean. - From the text: Parian marble has been famous since antiquity, and even today the quarries on Paros yield a finely textured, clear white stone. One quarry is located about three miles outside the town of Parikia where several shafts lead underground near the church of Agias Minas. In the second of these shafts, as one approaches from the church, there is a sculptured relief on the left-hand side, not far from the entrance. This relief, which begins almost two meters above the floor and measures 1.5 meters in length by 0.84 meters in height, has an inscription at the bottom whose letter forms date it to the period 350-325 B.C. - Wikidata: American Jesuit and classicist (1920-2011).
