Forword by John Harthan (Keeper of the library of the Victoria and Albert Museum.) "Herein in is set down all the teaching about colours that was given me by the master painter, Henry of Lubeck. If you wish to prepare blue pigment." Outer cover a little grubby and marked, but the inside proper cover is of cream vellum, nice and clean, and with gold lettering.

Condition: Good. 1949. Revised. 128 pages. No dust jacket. Brown paper covered boards with brown cloth spine and lettering. Clean pages with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Pencil markings to front free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Lettering is clear. Visible wear marks to boards.
