He explains that he is 'just off to Eastbourne', and asks her to send on her letter 'to The Editor [of the Morning Post]', adding that it is 'a risk to send to me'. He concludes by explaining that he and his wife have 'given our present long ago & I am subscribing to a Kensington one. We cannot subscribe to all.'.

The letter to a Mr Clark discusses a marriage, the placement in his paper The Morning Post and sentiment towards the Constitutional Club. The other is a secretarial thank you letter. Algernon Borthwick, 1st Baron Glenesk 1830-1908, was a British journalist and Conservative politician. He was the owner of the Morning Post (which merged with The Daily Telegraph in 1937).
