Macliesh 1911-1973 in order to distinguish himself from the poet dropped his last name when he published his first book of poetry "The Island Called Pharos" 1935. Archibald MacLiesh wrote a blurb on the the front cover of the jacket. In addition Fleming wrote 22 lines of support for Hopkins. An unusual copy.
