Estratto editoriale con la sola introduzione del primo volume dell'imponente opera South Africa animal life e gli argomenti del primo e del secondo volume. All'interno e' conservata una lettera dattiloscritta si 12 righe in lingua inglese inviata all'entomologo italiano Fabio Invrea e firmata a mano da Per Brick. Brick chiede ad Invrea di partecipare all'impresa editoriale. GliÂcomunica di aver raccolto in Sud Africa circa 70 specie di Mutillidae e sa che Invrea e' il solo a poter catalogare e descrivere questo tipo di materiale. Spera quindi che Invrea accetti la sua proposta. Al verso del foglio vi e' la risposta manoscritta a lapis di Invrea (non e' firmata) ma e' sicuramente una sorta di brutta che lo studioso scrisse. Invrea declina la proposta in quanto una malattia agli occhi non gli permette di intraprendere lavori simili e anzi e' preoccupato dal dovere portare a termine alcuni lavori gia' iniziati. ITA.
