Add to basketSoft cover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. This is a UK softcover of this title published by The British Printer Co Ltd in 1937, and number 293, volume XLIX. The photos show the condition better than I can describe but overall I believe it to be in Very Good condition for its age. The book has a straight spine with sharp corners and firm spine ends. There is a split to the foot of the spine (see photo) and the covers are toned due to age. There is no copyright page but the front cover confirms the publication date March 1937.

From 'Fine Printing: Its Inception, Development, and Practice', by George Joyner, (1895): 'A lengthy diatribe on the phenomenal growth and success of the 'British Printer' would be superfluous in view of the fact that its position as the foremost exponent of the art in Great Britain is universally admitted. The extent of its influence in the development of fine printing is without parallel, and its valuable work is well known to and highly appreciated by all fine printers. As previously stated, it gave extended effect to the style of typography instituted by Mr. [George] Jones; it also rendered much service to the craft by reproducing, or inserting as supplements, many of the best examples of the work of the printers of this and other countries ; promoted emulation by its excellent job com petitions, besides ably exemplifying the various improvements in process engraving."
