Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Completed shortly before he died, this autobiography of Cubby Broccoli is the story of one of Hollywood's leading film makers, from the farmlands of Long Island and the life of an immigrant to becoming the architect of a major film-production company. The book describes how he kept in touch with Howard Hughes by means of remote control from Hughes's hermetically sealed Las Vegas penthouse suite, and also provides accounts of Broccoli's relationships with other Hollywood personalities, such as Cary Grant (best man at his wedding to Dana), Sean Connery, Ursula Andress and Joan Crawford. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+ dj. First Edition. [nice clean book, pushed/bumped a bit at the spine ends but otherwise unblemished; the jacket is a bit rubbed and scuffed]. (B&W photographs) This posthumously-published autobiography of "one of Hollywood's best-loved producers" is "as much the story of the rise of Hollywood as it is a fairy-tale of the son of an Italian immigrant who became a key player in that exclusive world." Broccoli first came to Hollywood in the 1930s, where he met his "lifelong friend," Howard Hughes, and began working his way up in the business -- eventually moving to England, where (along with Harry Saltzman) he initiated the immensely successful James Bond film franchise. Never published in the U.S.
