Wasianski studierte an der Albertus-Universität Königsberg zunächst Medizin und dann Evangelische Theologie. 1780 wurde er Kantor an der Tragheimer Kirche, 1786 Diakon und 1808 wurde er Pfarrer dort. Wasianski wurde bekannt als Immanuel Kants Amanuensis der letzten Lebensjahre. Er war dessen Betreuer, Verwalter seines Hausstandes wie seines Vermögens. Er schrieb darüber 1804 eine aufschlussreiche Schrift. Mit dem Mechanikus Grabrecht erfand er den Bogenflügel. Doch sind von diesem nur zwei Instrumente gebaut worden. Immanuel Kant (* 22. April 1724 in Königsberg, Preußen; gestorben 12. Februar 1804 ebenda) war ein deutscher Philosoph der Aufklärung sowie unter anderem Professor der Logik und Metaphysik in Königsberg. Kant gehört zu den bedeutendsten Denkern der abendländischen Kultur. Er gilt "im allgemeinen als der größte Philosoph der Neuzeit", als "die zentrale Gestalt der modernen Philosophie". Seine sogenannten drei "Kritiken", insbesondere das erste Werk Kritik der reinen Vernunft, kennzeichnen einen Wendepunkt in der Philosophiegeschichte. Kants Perspektiven bleiben bis heute in allen Bereichen der Philosophie maßgebend, nicht nur in der Erkenntnistheorie und Metaphysik mit der Kritik der reinen Vernunft, sondern auch in der Ethik mit der Kritik der praktischen Vernunft und in der Ästhetik mit der Kritik der Urteilskraft.
