Leading German racing driver and european Hillclimb champion Hans Stuck sr gives his take on the sport as it was up to the mid 1930s - by which time he was a prominent member of the AUO UNION grand prix team, which he helped to found. Very well illustrated for it's time the book features many images of the author and his contemporaries in action. 206 pages, ex CSMA library book (stampin inside front cover and reside on the spine from the number label (removed) . Binding a little slack but generally good for it's age.

Translated from the German "Das Autobuch"). 206 pages and illustrated by many black and white photographs. Publisher's lightly marked grey oatmeal buckram lettered in red to the spine. A VG copy (extremities slightly bumped and rubbed and there are a few minor nicks to the cloth which overall is really bright and clean). The text block is slightly foxed, dusty and age toned. The VG dustwrapper is priced 7/6 net to the inside flap (as called for) and is slightly rubbed and marked, with loss to the edges, most significantly a strip to the rear of the bottom panel; there are also short closed tears, some of which have been repaired to the reverse with small pieces of thin paper archival tape. Superb photographic-style illustration to the front panel that extends to the spine. Rare in dustwrapper. Photographs/scans available upon request.
