Gli autori hanno dato al lavoro un taglio che unisce alla precisione tecnica una serie di approfondimenti storici relativi alle vicende e ai personaggi che hanno animato nel tempo l'azione verticale su queste pareti. Come nella precendente edizione, vengono approfondite, con schede specifiche corredate da un apparato iconografico arricchito da rare immagini, molto spesso inedite, le vicende che hanno portato alla creazione di molte vie celebri o di alta difficoltà. Titoli dorati leggermente sbiaditi al dorso.Significativo scollamento della copertina nella parte inferiore.Tagli bruniti con macchie di polvere.Fogli di guardia bruniti e con piccoli strappi lungo i bordi. In particolare il primo foglio di guardia si presenta staccato dal volume, con una piccola mancanza all'angolo superiore. Carte ben conservate, brunite, in particolare ai bordi.
