Green cloth with black lettering,xxiv, 219 pages, plus adverts Illustrated with photographs on plates and a folding map of German East Africa at the end of the book. 5 X 7.5 inches. Externally the book is rubbed and browned on the spine and page edges, the top edge is dust soiled, a couple of small holes worn through at the rear side of the spine but on the whole a sound copy, all complete and clean througout, hinges sound and all illustrtaions present as called for, as is the folding map which is in good condition.

Free endpapers browned, occasional ink stamps of the Royal African Society otherwise a very good copy in the original green cloth, a little rubbed and sunned, especially at the spine. xxiv, 220pp. 4pp. publisher's ads. Capt. Dolbey served in the Boer War receiving five clasps for his King's Medal, he returned to the service from his practice as a surgeon in British Columbia in 1914, seeing action in Belgium, East Africa and on the Italian Front.
