A small booklet of Anatolian rugs, about half 19th century, plus a Tudoc copy of a Lotto rug. Schapira is Hungarian and developed a love for Turkish rugs as she grew up. Front endsheets bear an ownership signature repeated twice, else book is entirely clean and free of markings (and quite sound), while the dj is edgeworn with an accordioned scuff to first flap. A very good copy. The weaving is done in India, China and Tibet by experienced villagers.
