About the book >.>.> First published in Venice in 1627, Tabulae Anatomicae LXXVIII presents 78 finely engraved plates by the celebrated Italian anatomist Julius Casserius (Iulius Casserius), issued posthumously with commentary by Daniel Bucretius. Printed by Evangelista Deuchinus, this edition helped establish modern anatomical illustration in the early seventeenth century. The folio includes detailed studies of the skeleton, muscles and organs, remarkable for their precision and for their use by later anatomists such as Harvey and Vesling. A milestone of Renaissance medical publishing, prized today for both its scientific and artistic significance. (OS).
