Gray cloth with dark brown stamping to spine. Toning/foxing to text block edges and endpapers; a few spots of foxing to leaves which overall remain clean. Binding is firm. Title page does not cite dj artist Alex A. Schomburg but he is cited near top of dj front flap; endpapers are without Schomburg illustrations as Winston tended to drop that embellishment on their later printings.
