"The main purpose of this book is to record pattern details for a great number of the excellent hair-wing Atlantic salmon flies that have been developed over the years since hair-wings were first originated. Techniques for converting classic salmon flies and basic trout wet flies into effective hair-wings have also been included. Although some books on Atlantic salmon fishing and fly tyings list a few hair-wing patterns, there has been no comprehensive treatment of the subject in the past.
