Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book recounts the extraordinary life of Rachel Baker, a woman who experienced profound religious visions that manifested as lucid sermonizing in her sleep. Despite skepticism and attempts to find a medicinal cure, Baker's visions persisted. Her intense religious experiences, akin…to those described in the Bible, offer a glimpse into the complex relationship between faith, mental health, and cultural expectations. The author presents a nuanced analysis of Baker's case, drawing on medical and theological perspectives to explore the enigmatic nature of her condition and the broader implications of religious belief. Through the author's meticulous research and the inclusion of firsthand accounts, this book invites readers to grapple with the boundaries of human experience and the power of faith to both console and confound. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
