Publisher's secondary binding of red cloth, black titles to spine, dust-jacket illustrated by Nina Miller Davidson. Neat ownership to flyleaf, light spotting and dustiness to edges. Jacket clipped and repriced at 4/6 net, toned to spine, with some edge wear. Very good copy . Outer red boards are unmarked. An elderly lady is stabbed to death at a Royal Wedding procession - a mystery featuring Mr. Percy Aloysius Huff, O.B.E. and the Hon. Betty Jetland. Ward Lock's practice with slow-selling titles of this period was to reissue the spare/unsold sheets in a cheaper binding (no gilt) and to clip and reduce the price on the jacket, which then had a series.
