Mosely. 476pp, 8 plates (New Haven 1936) reprinted NY 1966. *The author, one of the founders of the Social Revolutionary Party and a member of the Kerensky Provisional Government, gives an authoritative inside story of the failure of that regime. Blame for the Bolshevik triumph is assigned largely to the tactics of the moderates, e.g., Milyukov and Kerensky, of whom Chernov is perhaps too critical. (FAB). Very good ex-library copy.
