Titel der Originalausgabe: Cambio de Rumbo, Primera… Parte, Bucarest 1961; Secunda Parte, Bucarest 1964. - Schutzumschlag- und Einbandgestaltung von Wolfgang Ritter, Typografie von Anne-Katrin Jeschke. - Ignacio Hidalgo de Cisneros (1896-1966) war ein spanischer Fliugpionier, sowie Kommandeur der Luftstreitkräfte. Er entstammt einer spanischen Adelsfamilie und ist Nachkomme des letzten Vizekönigs des Río de la Plata, Baltasar Hidalgo de Cisneros. Er wurde als Militärpilot an der Military Quartermaster Academy in Ávila und am Flugplatz Cuatro Vientos ausgebildet. Nach einem Aufenthalt in Paris kehrte er nach dem Sieg der Republik nach Spanien zurück und wurde der Alcalá Aviation School als Stellvertreter und später als Chef zugeteilt. Zwischen 1933 und 1935 war er als Luftfahrtattaché in Rom und Berlin stationiert. Als der Bürgerkrieg begann, ermöglichte ihm seine Rolle zusammen mit der von Nuñez del Prado, dem Leiter der Luftfahrt, dass ein großer Teil der Luftfstreitkräfte in republikanischer Hand blieb. Nach dem Putsch von General Casado verließ er Spanien nach Toulouse (Frankreich). Er zog Ende 1939 in die UdSSR und ging nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg mit seiner Frau Constancia de la Mora (1906-1950) ins mexikanische Exil. 1951 ließ er sich dauerhaft in Bukarest (Rumänien) nieder. Dort starb er am 9. Februar 1966 in Bukarest. 1994 wurden seine sterblichen Überreste von seinen Verwandten in die Familiengruft der Familie Hidalgo de Cisneros in Vitoria überführt.
