Published in London for the Hydrographic Office Admiralty in 1893 this is the third edition of this rare pilots guide for giving information for sailing and safe navigation of the west Indian coast also taking in the Gulf of Manar, The Maldives and Laccadive islands, bound in the original thin flexible cloth covers titled in gilt to upper cover, internally illustrated with a map, 9.5 inches tall approx., 414 page packed with fascinating information relating to the west Indian coastal region in the late 19th century, the cloth covers are showing very obvious signs of wear, cloth is grubby and darkened, some noticeable wear and loss to spine, a couple of worn spots on rear cover, book has a noticeable lean, internally some creased page corners, occasional foxing and browning and a few marks else contents in good general condition. This is a heavier book and may require extra post costs for overseas shipping.
