Es handelt sich um den letzten Teil der Erinnerungen des Diplomaten an seine Mission am hannoverschen Königshof, laut Aussage des Herausgebers wurden Erinnerungen "rein privater Natur und solche, die von geringerem Interesse sind", fortgelassen oder verkürzt. On y trouve de très curieux détails sur les costumes de la fin du règne de Louis XVI". L'ouvrage fournit non seulement le détail de" tous les objets qui formaient à cette époque une toilette de cour", et celui des étoffes et de tous les accessoires, ainsi que leur prix. Si Madame Eloffe n'était en fait qu'une employée de Mme Pompey, fournisseur de la Reine et des princesses, son journal n'en reste pas moins une source essentielle pour l'histoire de la mode. Bon exemplaire très bien relié par Bretault (infime frott. en dos, qq. rouss., bel état par ailleurs, avec le bel ex-libris de la bibliothèque de Félix Durosier). Langue: Français.
