Se trata de un interesante tratado que estudia las causas de la incorporación de Portugal a Castilla durante el reinado de Felipe II. En la obra se mencionan los descubrimientos de Cristóbal Colón y el establecimiento de los portugueses en Brasil (especialmente Bahía y Pernambuco, Africa y la India. La obra discute la obra de las misiones de los jesuitas por el mundo, así como información acerca de China y Japón. Portada reforzada al verso en los márgenes exteriores, mínimo taladro en el margen superior de los preliminares sin afectar, algún pliego ocasional amarronado por la acidez del papel; folio 264 con restauración en el margen inferior sin afectar.
