Includes color illustrations, list of previous exhibitions, and a selected bibliography. A very near fine copy. Uncommon with only 4 copies listed in OCLC.

A collection of traditional tales and nursery rhymes, together with original short stories and verses. Book.

Short stories and nursery rhymes. B/w illustrations. Backstrip is damaged with a few patches of loss. Corners and cover edges worn. Covers grubby. Staples rusty. Top 3.5" of front joint is broken. A few grubby marks to contents and pages are lightly browned. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched!

Condition: Fair. line illustration to every opening many being full-page and all show animals as the main subject 8vo red cloth spined pictorial cover with two children watching a horse and a dog drinking out of the same bucket.[Head & foot of spine sl.frayed/corners worn] Front and Rear inner hinge strengthened with cloth and front has neat inscription to corner of first leaf. Paper uniformly tanned. Stories and verses with full page animals possibly meant for coloring? But here unused. Last leaf with a tear without loss. 1 volume. Hardcover.

Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Color illus., oblong 9.5 x 12", pict sewn wraps, unpaginated. Covers worn, creased, soiled and chipped, spine splitting, contents have toning, light soiling, creasing else good. Colors still bright and sharp even on the front cover. Titles of some of the cheery illustrations: "Donkey Race", "Happy Little People", "Dolly's Rescue", "A Morning Gallop". SCARCE title. "Untearable" cloth-type paper.

One of these plates is damaged--it moves, but is damaged along the central portion affecting an area about 1/2" in depth. 8vo, publisher's cloth-backed boards illustrated in color. Aside from the damage noted above, a fine copy.

Unpaginated, though 16 pages, with six mechanical pictures attached to the verso of six leaves; Mechanical pictures are a background image, with a different image that is divided in two and opens/closes with a side lever; All pieces are present, though lever is unattached to one, and only partially works on two others; Leaves with mechanical devices are chipped along edges, though not affecting images or device; Covers are a little rubbed and there is light wear at spine ends; Image on cover, as well as those inside remain good.

Covers fairly good with old wear and some chipping at edges of boards, text with moderate aging, shaken with all inserted plates loose, chipping at the edges of plain paper mounts, mechanical illustrations worn and torn with 2 not workingt, several with short tears.

Publisher's advertisements on 1p at end. Book Condition: Poor: Heavily worn corners with missing section of rear board (top right - see photo). Loss of sections of front board illustration along spine edge. Both hinges are broken but held together by spine cloth and text block - see photo. Frontis is 75% detached - see photo. Text block is tightly bound together and securely attached to the spine cloth. The first three illustration have been partially coloured in. Pages are otherwise tanned with no marks or annotations. Cromwell Lawrence with small vignettes and six large color transformations, which each have a ribbon at their base that lifts up the bottom half, revealing a different image beneath. The illustrations show animals and children playing, as well as a couple of well-known nursery rhymes. Former owner's inscription to front flyleaf. A very fine copy in pictorial boards, with only the slightest rubbing to the extremities.
