The boards are firm and flat, slightly shelf-cocked and with sunned spine. The end papers are a little marked; there is a small black bookseller's sticker from 'The Times Book Club', London on the rear paste down. The text block has a frontispiece of the author and a fold-out map of The Mendips in the text. The pages are quite tightly bound and clean and with very slight warp. Good condition. No dedications etc. Without jacket.
