These are computer graphics that look beautiful and elegant.You can hang such graphics on the wall or send them in postcard size for various occasions. These are certainly special cards that are guaranteed to spark interesting inquiries from the recipients.So, if you're looking to produce unique, beautiful images for empty walls, greeting cards, or other spectacular artifacts (3D printing, cutting plotters, etc.), you've found the right - and artistically interesting - topic: fractal computer graphics. And in terms of programming, we will equip them with a well-functioning toolkit of short code snippets, the source code of the programs, which they can work with. If one doesn't want to type out the source code of the programs, it's easier to scan both parts of the QR code using a smartphone or tablet and send it to oneself via email. The two parts will, of course, need to be combined in a text editor. The complete file thus created can then be compiled, for example, using the Thonny development environment to generate the images of the computer graphics.In-depth derivations of the underlying mathematical formulas and discussions of alternative approaches will not be covered.That's why we call this offering "recipes." Two interesting topics are thus defined: engaging with fractal structures and applying a programming language to generate computer graphics. Mit handschriftlicher Widmung auf dem Vorsatzblatt: "für Helga und Kurt mit guten Grüßen Febr. 1986 Roland" --- Roland Dörfler (* 14. Februar 1926 in Silberbach, böhmisches Erzgebirge; 17. März 2010 in Braunschweig) war ein deutscher Maler. Nach dem Besuch der Volks- und Bürgerschule in Silberbach und der Lehrerbildungsanstalt in Eger leistete Dörfler von 1944 Arbeitsdienst. Er war in der Infanterie-Ausbildung in Prag und Budweis und hatte einen Einsatz im Westen. Bis 1947 war er in Gefangenschaft in Frankreich. Ab 1948 studierte er an der Akademie Nürnberg bei Fritz Griebel, ab 1950 in der Akademie Stuttgart bei Hans Meid und Manfred Henninger, er war auch Gaststudent bei Willi Baumeister. Dörfler war Mitglied im Deutschen Künstlerbund. 1956 heiratete er Suzette Souviraa, geboren in Castillon, Frankreich; sie lebten in einem Wohnatelier in Kornwestheim. Gemeinsam hatten sie drei Kinder. 1956 erhielt er ein Stipendiat des Kulturkreises im BDI, in den folgenden Jahren hatte er einen Lehrauftrag für Zeichnen an der Akademie Stuttgart. Seit 1960 arbeitete er freischaffend. 1965 erfolgte die Berufung an die HBK Braunschweig als Leiter einer Klasse für Malerei und der damit verbundene Umzug nach Braunschweig. Dörflers Werke beschäftigen sich mit der menschlichen Existenz, welche er als ständige Beschränkung versteht. So wirken die dargestellten Menschen einsam, schwach, unfrei und verzweifelt und stehen damit im Widerspruch zum Menschenbild vieler Idealvorstellungen.
