Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. pp: 361. FIRST EDITION SIGNED BY BOTH AUTHORS. Pictorial dust jacket, red/black cloth covered boards. This copy has been signed and dated on the free endpaper by both authors. It is dated in the year of publication, and inscribed to a man named Al with best wishes. The authors outline some of the important cases they prosecuted. They both worked for Thomas E. Dewey in the New York District Attorney's office. Among the cases involving these men there is The New York Parental School scandal. This was a disciplinary school whose staff went fare beyond the rules, engaging in widespread physical and mental abuse, and neglect. Danforth was also involved in the payoff investigation involving Arthur Flegenheimer, better known as Dutch Schultz. And, there was the case of Fritz Kuhn, leader of the American Bund that openly espoused the ideas of Adolf Hitler. Kuhn turned out to be not much more than a racist, a forger and thief, not different than the others in Germany. This is a very good copy in a dust jacket with moderate edge wear, sunning on the spine, and a bit of soiling. The jacket is protected with a Brodart cover. Signed by Author(s).
