Book is in near new condition, covers bright, text clean and binding tight without a dust jacket in a clamshell box that has some wear and about a 3 inch split to the spine. slight bend to the lithograph folder.

Black cloth with colour pictorial inlay and gilt lettering, #1712 of a limited edition of 3250 copies, enclosed in a black clamshell box along with the signed and numbered lithograph (#112 of 185: "La Circassionne") contained in a paper folder. The book is inscribed to the art philanthropist Nancy Hamon "For Nancy Hamon with high regards and best wishes", signed and dated San Francisco 16.VIII.94. Overall size: 10.5"x14", text in French. Book has several small very minor spots to the front cover, else near new, clean, tight and bright condition / lithograph and paper folder slightly bent / box worn through on two corners and lightly scuffed.

Cloth. cxxxv, 307p. A fine copy in black cloth with pictorial onlay. In a very good black clamshell box which has a few scuff marks and a small abrasion on the rear (or bottom) panel. This is a UNIQUE COPY. It includes the signed and numbered lithograph (#48 of 185: "La circassienne"), which is contained in a paper folder and is slightly bent (as is the folder). The book is inscribed (Monaco, 23 August 1986) by Vicari to Lyn Revson on a prelim. page: ("For Lyn Revson/ with high regard/ and deep admiration"), and there is also a calling card inscribed by Vicari to Ms. Revson laid in. Significantly, the book contains an illustration of a portrait of Ms. Revson by Vicari (p. 221, no. 225). Ms. Revson was the third wife of Charles Revson, founder of Revlon. One of 3250 copies but a special one. Size: Folio. Book.

A very nice copy of this limited edition Catalogue Raisonne with several editions. Copy 779/3000 (numbered to colophon at the rear). This copy comes with the signed coloured lithograph "L'angoisse" (#59/185 of the lithograph) Drawn in sanguine, black crayon and lead pencil, this is produced on high quality art paper and is in its own folder. The book is also signed and dedicated to the front end paper to Jacques and Ghislaine Berniere, dated Riyad 1990. Berniere was the French ambassador to Saudi Arabia from 1986-1991 (including throughout the Gulf War) and was later the ambassador to Belgium. Vicari's visits to Saudi Arabia are well documented and photographed in the catalogue. In addition there is a French menu card dated the same day (Presumably from the embassy) showing the dinner menu. To the verso, Vicari has drawn a sketch of some of the attendees, and signed this. The book is black cloth, with gilt titles and a colour picture by Vicari tipped onto the front board. In good, clean, sound condition. The book is held within a black clamshell case. There is a little rubbing and marking to the cover, but still attractive. 310 pages. Andrew Vicari was a Welsh portrait painter, who became the official portrait artist of the Saudi Royal Family (where there are three museums dedicated to his work.) He died, aged 83 in 2016. 360 by 270mm (14¼ by 10¾ inches). .
