The work presents the biblical texts of Joshua, Judges, Ruth, Samuel, Kings, Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. These are translated into Latin based on a critical review of the Hebrew text and ancient versions (ex recensione textus Hebraei et versionum antiquarum). The edition is distinguished by its inclusion of philological and critical notes (notisque philologicis et criticis illustrati), intended to aid scholars in textual analysis and interpretation. There is a very small amount of wear on the cover, but it truly is minimal, and the pages are all firmly attached to the spine. The paper is very good quality, almost like linen. They are very flexible and turn easily, and unlike some other old books, the pages turn and it does not feel like something is going to give when you turn the pages! There is no foxing either.
