This is the biggest and most glamorous of the Mohawk River's tributaries whose 75 mile course from the heart of the Adirondack Wilderness to the brisk industrial village of Herkimer is one of the finest stretches of scenery in the Empire State. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. Dante O. Tranquille (illustrator). 158 Pages. First edition? No dust jacket. This book is all about the West Canada Creek in upstate NY, its history, the surrounding towns and people, and the history of the area and the creek's uses. The book comes in dark boards with gold lettering on both the front cover and on the spine. The exterior of the book's only detriment is very slight wearing at the top and bottom of the spine. The interior book has slightly tanned pages, and the first page in from the front cover seems to have been removed. Otherwise, there are no visible extraneous markings, or distractions throughout the book and hence all of its printing and photographs are all in a very well-preserved condition and the book's bindings seem to be getting slightly loose, yet are yet well attached. If you order this neat bit of upper New York State history from us, we will carefully wrap it up in either foam or bubble wrap, then pad and box it and post it right away to you with both insurance and tracking on it.
