Lavishly illustrated oversize volume in both English & Portuguese offers a comprehensive guide to some 2,600 wild species of birds in Brazil! In 10 chapters, including a Bibliography & Glossary, 335 pages, with full-color, full-page illustrations throughout the text. A FIRST EDITION, printing from 1979, this huge hardcover folio has brown cloth-covered boards with lighter tan lettering to front & spine & orange embossed drawing of a bird on front cover. Gilt to top page edges. Condition is Near Fine: completely clean & bright, binding straight & strong, pages creamy white. Red ribbon page marker sewn in & secure. Only flaws are a few mild rubbed spots to both covers, scratch to front, mildly bumped corners. NO DJ.
