A book of two sermons, preached by the English cleric Jeremy Taylor in the mid seventeenth century while living quietly in Wales as chaplain to the Early of Carbery. Following the Restoration of Charles II, he became Bishop of Down and Connor and vice-chancellor of the University of Dublin. The text is set against caricatured images from contemporary life.
