19x21.5 cm. Outline color. Folding map of New York State, lacking folder and flattened. Trimmed close to border. Robert De Silver published maps in the early 1820's, usually as small pocket maps. Many of his maps had no identifying elements but are identifiable by their style which was reminiscent of maps of the 1790's and early 1800's such as those from Scott's Gazetteer and Carey's Pocket Atlas. The Erie Canal is identified.
