Lamiinae is the largest subfamily of Cerambycidae and is considerably well represented in Cuba. Fernando de Zayas was one of the most important researchers of the Cuban Cerambycidae fauna, and his "Revisión de la Pamilia Cerambycidae" is still a fundamental work for anyone studying the group. Evidently, several changes occured after the publication of the book, and others are needed yet, as for example transference of some genera incorrectly allocated, transference of species to other genera, and synonymies. The first volume of "Longicornios de Cuba" summarized the current knowledge of the subfamilies Parandrinae, Prioninae, Spondylidinae, and Cerambycinae. This second volume provides a comprehensive summary of the Lamiinae occuring in Cuba, and will be an important base for future studies on the subfamily especially the species from the Caribbean are. Thirty-eight genera distributed in eleven tribes of Lamiinae are found in Cuba. Four of these genera are endemic to the island: Cupeyalia Zayas, 1975, Eneodes Fisher, 1926, Maisi Zayas, 1975, and Pygmaleptostylus Gilmour, 1963. In the same way, several species are also found only in the country. Other species were introduced in Cuba, as well as others coming from the island and currently found in other countries, especially southeastern United States of America. Lleida.
