Condition: Fair. 1929. First Edition. 103 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt decoration and lettering. Front endpaper has been removed. Pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, with moderate foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn with slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are a mildly crushed, with small splits and chips. Moderate tanning to spine and edges.
Condition: Good. Most items will be dispatched the same or the next working day. A copy that has been read but remains in clean condition. All of the pages are intact and the cover is intact and the spine may show signs of wear. The book may have minor markings which are not specifically mentioned. A good condition book. Fading to the spine and light foxing to the textblock edges. A sweet gift note on the ffep.

Tissue guarded coloured frontispiece. 30 full page and text drawings after Frank Adams. In the original red cloth with black lettered spine. The spine is faded and there is some rubbing along the hinges. Marginal foxing affects the early and later leaves. The edges are lightly dust soiled. A good plus to near very good copy. No wrapper.

Spine a touch toned and tips lightly creased; free endpapers toned next to jacket flaps, with minor staining from boards to ffep upper corner and front jacket flap. Small damp stain to upper corner of frontispiece & guard leaf (corner only so image unaffected). Light foxing to front endpapers and text-block edge; no annotation or inscriptions. Jacket a little soiled with nicks & creases, with minor loss to spine tips and corners. A Very Good copy in Good jacket. Charming tale of King Psammitichus, who came to the throne of Egypt at "seven and a half last birthday", and his court of animals. Scarce in the original Frank Adams dust-jacket.
